Get Kids Going! is delighted to announce that Derek Brown has selected Get Kids Going! as one of the official charities for his mammoth charity walk that will begin on 16th August 2011.

Derek Brown was born prematurely, hitting the big scales at a mere 2lb-1oz. He is hearing-impaired and has fused toes. He has supported a number of charities throughout the years, always for personal feeling.

In his journey from Leeds to Plymouth (and back again!), Derek will walk over 700 miles in just 32 days. The route, which can be viewed here, takes Derek through a number of the UKs major cities and Derek is more than happy for others to join him at any point throughout his journey.

All are welcome to follow Dereks progress through his regularly updated Twitter feed, which features details of his fundraising exploits across the UK.

Get Kids Going! is delighted to support Derek Brown in his epic fundraising adventure and wishes him all the best in the weeks leading up to the walk. Get Kids Going! urges all its supporters to get behind Derek and to give him the support that he undoubtedly deserves. If you would like to sponsor Derek, then please do visit his website at; which also provides full details of the walk.
