Get Kids Going! Ski team compete in World Championships in Canada

Four Get Kids Going! athletes are currently competing in the IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships in Panorama, Canada.

 

After a superb winter season, visually impaired skier Millie Knight is hoping to continue picking up the medals.

 

Millie has impressed this seson picking up three World Cup golds and a silver and winning the overall World Cup Grand Slalom title.

 

After being Team GB’s flag bearer Millie is hoping to improve on her two 5th places she took at the 2014 Paralympics in Sochi.

 

Other members of the Get Kids Going! team include sit skiers Ben Sneesby and Benji Millard and standing class skier James Whitely.

 

Ben and James are also hoping for improvements from Sochi and are looking to finish in the top ten.

 

For Benji it is his first major Championship and he cannot wait to get started!

 

Millie's mum, Suzanne is out in Panorama for us and will be keeping us imformed with how the team are getting on.
