Last weekend, some of the Get Kids Going! fundraising team took to the streets of Paris race in the 2015 Paris Half Marathon.

Three friends, Alison Read, Linda Katesmark and Joanne Kingran in aid of Get Kids Going! and after the event they got in touch with us to tell us how much they had enjoyed the race.

Alison said, “Myself and two of my great friends Linda Katesmark and Joanne King have just got home after running the Paris half marathon.

“We are all 40+ and ran it for the Get Kids Going! charity. We raised over a £1,000 and it's still coming in too!

“The amazing thing was, Linda was injured with a torn muscle and was very hit and miss if she was even going to finish but she did! I had an absolute stinking cold and felt awful and Joanne was just brilliant as she has been recovering from throat cancer and a cancerous Tumour on her under foot and has been clear for a year not that she likes to talk about it! So we are very proud of her!
