SHOOTING - Nathan Milgate and Matt Skelhon
Nathan Milgate and Matt Skelhon competed in the Men's R1-10m Air Rifle Standing-SH1 in the shooting event at the Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich on Friday morning. However, despite a promising start from both men, neither were able to convert their points total into medal winning positions. Supported by Get Kids Going! Nathan had previously won gold at the IPC shooting world cup in 2011 and was disappointed not to add to his medal collection on this occasion, despite scoring a possible 588 out of a possible 600 points. Matt, who is also sponsored by GKG! had won gold at the Beijing Paralympics and was equally disappointed not to get on the medal podium. Further congratulations go to Matt Skelhon who won a bronze medal to the silver he's already won. In the Mixed R6-50m Rifle Prone-SH1 at Woolwich Matt finished in third position, narrowly missing out on a second silver medal.
