Last week a number of our wheelchair athletes took part in the gruelling Tunnel 2K race. A few days later and in advance of the Great North Run, the BBC's Blue Peter wanted to re-create the atmosphere and got seven top wheelchair athletes to take part in a mini race at the BBCTV Centre in Wood Lane. The first IWAS (International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation) World Junior Championships was held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium on 6th & 7th July 2005. Once again Get Kids Going! wheelchair athletes who formed a major part of the Great British (GB) squad, gave outstanding performances. read more >>>
