The charity is delighted to learn that many of its bright, young, wheelchair rugby athletes have been selected to take part in the 2025 European WCR Championships to be held from, 21st to 27th April, 2025, at the Sportcampus Zuiderpark in The Hague, Netherlands.
This biennial event will feature Europe’s top eight wheelchair rugby teams including; Germany, Denmark Great Britain, Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Poland and the Czech Republic who will all be competing for this coveted title!
The British Team have an outstanding record in the sport, particularly in European competitions. They have secured the European Championship title seven times, with victories in 1995, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2015, 2017, and 2019.
In preparation for the 2025 European Championships, GB Wheelchair Rugby has announced their squad, blending seasoned athletes with emerging, young talent.
Newly appointed assistant coach, Adam Scaturro, highlighted his approach, saying, “It’s a balance of development and determination.”
