London Summer Walk
The London Summer Walk, offers you a unique opportunity to explore some of London’s most iconic and historic landmarks. The challenge features various route options, including a new marathon loop, a 25km route, and a 10km route, each designed to showcase the rich history and beauty of the capital.
Woolwich Royal Artillery Barracks
The walk begins at the historic Woolwich Royal Artillery Barracks, known for its impressive architecture and military heritage.
Thames Path
You’ll cross sections of the Thames Path, offering scenic riverside views and a chance to experience London’s vibrant waterfront.
Greenwich Peninsula
The route passes through the Greenwich Peninsula, home to the iconic O2 Arena and offering panoramic views of the River Thames.
Old Royal Naval College
Walkers will pass by the Old Royal Naval College, a masterpiece of baroque architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Cutty Sark
The route includes a view of the Cutty Sark, the world’s last surviving tea clipper and an iconic symbol of Britain’s maritime history.
Millennium Footbridge
Walk across the Millennium Footbridge, a modern architectural marvel connecting St. Paul’s Cathedral with Tate Modern.
Tower of London
The walk offers views of the Tower of London, a historic castle and former royal residence that houses the Crown Jewels.
Olympic Park
The route passes through the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, developed for the 2012 London Olympics and now a hub for sports and recreation.

Option 2: Full Sponsorship For Charity – pay a small registration fee and fundraise for Get Kids Going! (who pays for your place)
Full Challenge Marathon (42.2km) – £40 registration fee and at least £375 fundraising pledge
Half Challenge (25km) – £30 registration fee and at least £275 fundraising pledge
10K Challenge (10km) – £20 registration fee and at least £150 fundraising pledge
Option 3: Mixed Funding For Charity – pay for half your place cost and fundraise less for Get Kids Going! (who pays half of your place cost)
Full Challenge Marathon (42.2km) – £75 registration fee and at least £225 fundraising pledge
Half Challenge (25km) – £50 registration fee and at least £150 fundraising pledge
10K Challenge (10km) – £30 registration fee and at least £100 fundraising pledge
Option 4: Own Place Charity Fundraising – pay for your place and fundraise whatever you can for Get Kids Going! (with small admin fee to charity)
Full Challenge Marathon (42.2km) – £99 registration fee paid online and fundraise whatever you can
Half Challenge (25km) – £89 registration fee paid online and fundraise whatever you can
10K Challenge (10km) – £59 registration fee paid online and fundraise whatever you can

Event Accessibility
Visually impaired participants are welcome and usually take part with someone supporting them on route. There may be a discounted charge for this to cover event costs such as food etc. Event sites are generally in playing fields or outdoor areas on flat land. For spectators, there is limited wheelchair access, and this can vary on the day depending on ground conditions.

Get Kids Going!
Get Kids Going! is a national charity which gives disabled children and young people, up to the age of 26 years, the wonderful opportunity of participating in sport. We provide them with specially built sports wheelchairs so they can do: athletics, marathons, tennis, skiing, rugby, sailing, basketball, snowboarding and many other sports.
Get Kids Going! inspires young people to compete in sporting events, from start to paralympic level, by also giving them annual sports grants to help with their; training, travel, competition fees and the development of sports’ equipment. With your help many of these amazing youngsters can become world record holders and paralympic champions!
