Dublin Marathon

The Dublin Marathon, founded in 1980, is considered to be one of the friendliest runs with passionate and encouraging crowds to help you along the way.

It’s estimated that this year’s Marathon will have 25,000 runners taking part. With over 5,700 travelling from around the world, it’s currently considered to be Europe’s 4th largest marathon.

Starting at Fitzwilliam Square, the first half takes you across the River Liffey originating in the Wicklow mountains. The spring waters of this famous river are used to brew the Irish black gold … Guinness!

The course finishes back in the heart of Dublin, close to the historic Trinity College in Merrion Square, where you’ll be greeted by waves of cheering supports.
