Get Kids Going! is a national charity which supports disabled children and young people, up to the age of 26, giving them the opportunity to participate in sport and physical activity. The charity provides specially built sports wheelchairs, enabling young athletes to take part in a wide range of sports including athletics, marathons, tennis, skiing, curling, wheelchair rugby, sailing, boccia, basketball, snowboarding, table tennis, fencing, shooting, archery and powerlifting, alongside many other inclusive sporting activities.

Through its work, Get Kids Going! empowers disabled youngsters to progress in sport, from beginner participation through to elite and Paralympic level competition. In addition to specialist equipment, the charity offers sports grants and athlete support funding, help with essential costs such as training, physiotherapy, sports psychology, travel expenses, competition entry fees, and the design and development of high-performance sports equipment.

With your support, disabled young athletes can achieve extraordinary success, building confidence, independence, and competitive excellence. Many athletes supported by Get Kids Going! go on to become world record holders, international competitors, and Paralympic champions, proving that sport has the power to transform lives and create opportunities without limits.

Is there an entry fee?
A small entry fee applies, helping cover the cost of your official race entry.

The BMW Berlin-Marathon Expo 2026 will take place on the following days, during the following hours*:
Thursday, 24 September 2026: 15:00 – 20:00
– Friday, 25 September 2026: 11:00 – 20:00
– Saturday, 26 September 2026: 09:00 – 19:00
There is no bib number pick on race day.

What do I need to collect my BMW Berlin-Marathon Race Pack?
To collect your official race materials at the BMW Berlin-Marathon 2026 Expo, you must bring:
– Your Start Card (sent to you by the race organisers email, up to 10 days before race day)
– A valid photo ID (passport, national identity card, or driving licence)

All race materials must be collected in person by the registered participant. The Berlin Marathon does not allow third-party collection, including collection by friends, family members, or representatives – even if a written authorisation or power of attorney is provided.

If you are travelling to Berlin for race weekend, ensure you arrive in time to attend the Expo and bring the correct identification documents with you.

Can someone else collect my BMW Berlin-Marathon race pack?
All race materials for the BMW Berlin-Marathon 2026 must be collected in person by the registered participant at the official Berlin Marathon Expo.

Third-party collection is strictly not permitted. This includes friends, family members, or representatives collecting on your behalf – even if you provide written authorisation or a power of attorney. Race materials also cannot be mailed or shipped to participants under any circumstances.

When you collect your race pack, you will be issued with your official athlete wristband. This wristband, together with your bib number, is required for entry into the secure start and finish areas on race day.

The wristband system is an important safety measure implemented by race organisers to ensure that only officially registered runners participate in the BMW Berlin-Marathon.

For this reason:
– Your wristband will be fitted at the Expo
– It must remain securely in place until after you finish the race
– Please remove your wristband only once you have exited the official finish area
If you are travelling to Berlin for the marathon weekend, make sure your itinerary allows time to attend the Expo and complete the collection process in person.

Can I transfer or give my BMW Berlin-Marathon bib to someone else?
No – bib numbers for the BMW Berlin-Marathon are strictly personal and non-transferable.

Each race entry is registered to an individual participant, and bib numbers cannot be reassigned, exchanged, sold, or passed on to another runner under any circumstances.

The BMW Berlin-Marathon operates a strict identity and security policy to ensure that only officially registered participants compete on race day. Any attempt to run using another person’s bib may result in disqualification and potential exclusion from future events.
