James-Tobias age 5 runs again![]() I am hoping you will find the following of great interest and hope you will consider using this great story for your paper. We are very proud parents and believe this story to be an incentive to help other parents encourage their children to stay active. Attached is a photo of my son James-Tobias Norrington. He is 5 years old and since the age of 2 he has been participating in 1 mile run events doing the Great north run and Great south run and raising lots of money for our chosen charity. Get Kids Going. This charity raises money for children who need special wheelchairs to be able to do sports. James-Tobias has met many children over the few years of running whilst taking part events and has even been to New York and run small events there when the New york marathon is on and even though he is only 5 he really appreciates how important it is for him to help raise money. He loves running and often runs with me at Bedfont lakes. James-Tobias this year took part in the Great South Run mini event, running 1 mile and beating his time again this. He ran 1mile in 9min56sec. The best part was receiving his medal at the end and he was very pleased to go back into school after the half term break and show off his medal. James-Tobias is un- able to do the New York event this weekend as he is also dancing 5times a week and he is taking his Primary Tap and Grade 1 Modern Exams on Sunday. He will also be taking his first Primary ballet exam next Sunday. So many things to do before he is 6years old. James-Tobias is looking forward to next year and will continue his running practise for the next event where he can help to raise money. Regards Kelli and Richard Norrington |
